Thorin
Anyone listened to it yet? Seems to be getting good reports. I must confess I haven't actually listened to Megadeth since the mid-nineties and Youthanasia!
michael
I haven't listened yet but I will be obtaining it and having a listen, hoping they tour again too, they were awesome when I went to see them recently. I'm still having issues looking at Dave's face though, something isn't right these days.
Animal
Only heard one track off it so far, but it does appear to be a return to form for Mustaine. Youthanasia was probably the last half decent album they did, and that wasn't a patch on the first 3 albums. I'll investigate it when I get home tonight, I think. I'm more looking forward to the new Slayer album due out in November (I think) - got my tickets to see them in Manchester in November, they're apparently doing a 100 minute set, so hopefully we'll get the entire of 'Reign In Blood' like they've done in the past. martin1982
New slayer album is really good! They really have gone back to the good old all out aggression era of Reign. I know the two bands were touring Canada together earlier in the year and was hoping that tour would head to the UK (even though Machine Head were supporting). Ah well, got my Slayer tickets for the HMV Forum in November, just wait for Megadeth to get themselves over here.
James
I haven't bought it yet but heard a few tracks the other day. Broderick is brilliant on guitar and his technicality is being utilized, I still can't help but feel that it'll lack being memorable like Friedman's work. The riffs are cool. Alot of it is very generic Megadeth and seems just too plain. Again, like the solos, nothing standing out too much! It may take a few more listens to get into it better, but I'm not "wowed" as yet.
