Oh, and which cars can be given full racing modification in the tuning garage? (don't know if this has been discussed yet but don't have time to go through 70 odd pages ;) )

Cheers.

Not many :(

I did see a list somewhere on another site I believe. Can't say I've seen a Saleen S7 up for sale yet either.

Anybody ever seen the Saleen S7 available to buy on GT5 yet?

I've noticed the computer drivers have access to the Saleen S7 so its in the game, its just never yet cropped up in either the online garage or the 2nd hand game garage (for me anyeways).

I've not had a go at these yet. From what your saying it doesn't sound easy.

Most problematic on GT Planet seemed to be the 3rd race. Not for me though. The 2nd race, Lotus Elise is a real pain. At any rate they are worth doing for the tickets. Level 21, 22 and 23.

Here are the goodies available with those tickets.

When doing the online races via the 'lobby' I'm getting a lot of the 717 error which in text form states "incompatibility with room owner"....or words to that effect.

I connected the PS3 into the router via ethernet cable and brought my NAT type up from 3 to 2 over the previous wireless connection that I had. But on both NAT type levels I was getting the 717 error.

I've done a search on the internet and the problem hasn't been addressed by Sony (to my knowledge that is). Anybody else getting the 717 error?

I've cleared out the cache and also tried with the router firewall turned off which were a couple of suggestions on one of the websites but its not made any difference. And this error seems to be coupled with a very frequent "disconnected from server" messages.

Seems like the GT5 servers (or node points as I'm lead to believe) are in self destsruct for a lot of users. Anybody aware of any future upgrade releases for this game?

Disappointed with the DLC they've released. A tenner (near enough) for some new cars (I haven't got anywhere near the existing 1000+ cars yet), "3" new tracks (one of which is Spa which is cool, but the other two are just slightly different layouts of the same Kart track), and some new paints and outfits for drivers?

...I'll end up buying it just for Spa though :(

me too, 1 GB worth of updates......took a couple of hours to update, switched it off once done....

I noticed that its a lot less responsive in the menus and navigation since the updates, seems to take ages to load before you get to actually drive :(

The latest update you refer to is the GT5 - Spec 2 update and is huge. It's been big news in the GT world since it was announced last month.

First announced here:

http://www.gtplanet.net/gt5-spec-2-0-dlc-details-standard-car-interiors-replay-controls-new-cars-new-tracks-more/

And some more info from release day (Oct 10th) here:

http://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo-5-spec-2-0-now-available/

The update means the system now caters for downloadable content (the Spa circuit etc), mid game saves (handy when you're racing 24hrs of Le Mans!) and you can now save multiple settings for your cars.

Everyone got a Red Bull X2010 in celebration of Vettel winning the F1 Drivers World Championship at Suzuka. There's lots of other stuff in the update as well.

I think it's a pretty good update to the game, myself. Been back playing it again for about a week now - as and when I find the time.

All standard cars now have a (very simplified) interior view.
