PS3 For sale (laser needs fixing)

I'm wanting to sell my PS3 it's a 40GB version, but the laser is broken that reads the discs so it can't read discs at the mome...It failed after only 4 months of use, but if you know someone who can fix it you could get it done cheaper then what Sony would charge, or if you can fix it yourself then it might be very worthwhile. I've only used it about 6 months in total since I bought it.

I have:

Grand Theft Auto 4

Call of Duty 4

Assasins Creed

Metal Gear solid 4

Gran Turismo Prologue (downloaded from PSN)

If anyone's interested in making a reasonable offer then msg me :)

I Bought it last April used it April-June before I moved but only used it a little, then I didn't use it again until until early this year February time properly and then again in march, it broke after the warranty around May time...I was rather quite annoyed. I've only used it since to play Gran Turismo Prologue, and again I have not used it much.

Any photo's just ask and i'll take and upload them.

I'm open to offer's bender, I think in the region of offer's of 100pounds+ is reasonable?

Like I say i'm open to reasonable offers :)

With all of the listed game's also..check on ebay how much, from what I can see they seem to be going for around 30-80 pounds at the current bids just for console (faulty), not seen them at the end of auction price they go for though..

Just thought I'd see if would get some offer's on here first..

Scott_M don't think I can take 100pounds with delivery included in the price.

I thought you get a 2 year warranty when you buy goods within the EU. Even if the manufacturer only offers 1 year, the retailer has to give you 2 or something? I think there was a discussion about this not so long ago.

I was trying to find that thread the other day. Couldn't put my finger on it. let me know if you find it.

Couldn't remeber the thread Scott but I found this on consumer direct. It describes the EU legislation that gives a statutory 2 year warranty with goods purchased in the EU, might help you or the OP out.

I completely forgot about that thread. Thanks for re-posting it! I will give them a ring again later during this week and see what they say, has anyone had any problems with them still refusing to fix it under this legislation? I will however need to dig out my receipt again.

Hopefully will be able to get it fixed then hassle free and be ready to sell still :)
