adam1983
i noticed the other day that there was a squeaking noise whilst it was ticking over. i opened the bonnet and found that it was squeaking from the fan belt. sprayed it with wd40 and the noise went away but has now come back. its really annoying so have decided to get it changed. where can i get one from off the internet? i have been trying to find a uk supplier on the internet but cant find one. im not very mechanically minded so not too sure what im looking for exactly so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be very appreciated. cheers

Swampy442
Sure its the belt? Might be the tensioner bearing.
adam1983
how would i know if it was the tensioner bearing? i dont really know a lot about engines so just assumed it was the fan belt
spider2123
watch out mate your belt idler pully may be making some of the noise too, mine seized up and melted the belt- good luck:search:
Swampy442
Unless the belt is really stretched then it probably wont be the belt itself. Behind the fan is a big pulley, spray some GT or WD40 into the bearing and then start it, see of it still squeaks. Dont spray oil onto the belt, it contaminates it.
