Low speed 'clinking' noise

Can anybody have a guess at what could be causing this (from my terrible description).

At low speeds there seems to be a clinky dinky dink noise coming from what seems to be the rear of the car. It only seems to happen at around 20mph.

It sounds as though something could be loose and tapping against something else but my mechanic had a quick check when he did my tracking but couldn't see anything loose.

it's fine when braking, just when it hits around 20..

Although it could make sense: it was in the garage for 5 months having the front end rebuilt, it had it's MOT just as i got it back and the advisery said the rear brakes were pitted and it doesn't do it when you just rev the engine so it's definately a moving part.

finally got this sorted today. up on the ramps, couldn't see anything so i had to climb up and in, while on the ramps, to 'drive' it. Noise started but nothing could be spotted. Mechanic took the wheel off for a better look and as he rolled it away; so did the noise!

Turned out that a bit of the tyre valve had come off and was rolling about inside the wheel banging on the alloy.
