michel lane
Has anyone noticed how many scammers there are on the US forum.. about 2 years ago there were hardly any and now you read through all the threads and noticed its increasing substantially. It got to a point were people are selling items that dont even belong to themselves but pictures of other cars. So beware everyone ... SupraAyf
I joined the US Forum with the intention of buying a few goodies but then I had a change of heart due to the associated risk. I still like looking though but I'll be buying through the dealers only (and members on here)

RobSheffield
What have you purchased and did you use Paypal? Intake manifold, and yes, so not so bad i guess.
Frank Bullitt
Fingers crossed for you mate, if it was a rare item i'd be worried but an intake should be plain sailing At least you have protection with Paypal should you need it. jevansio
Not wanting to cause any additional worry, but PayPal wanted nothing at all to do with my purchase, I couldn't even raise a dispute (I never tried calling them though)

jackso11
PayPal only covers you for about £140, so that's all you can get back if you can raise a dispute. Also I think you can only raise a dispute on an eBay item.
jevansio
Some things to be wary of on PP. Anything over 45 days they don't want to know If you select "send money as gift" you aren't covered (even though the % charge is exactly the same, just the sender pays the fees rather than the seller). I had a call to PP yesterday with some very unfriendly staff who pretty much are as bad as the coning b*stard who's took my money
