carl0s
is this the autobox or my rear diff? I only really noticed it after changing my autobox fluid. It doesn't sound like a particularly unhealthy click / creak but as usual I'm curiously concerned.

carl0s
mine is a very quiet springy-click-creak. quite hard to explain but it sounds 'springy'. as I said it doesn't sound particularly like something is wrong, and in fact may just be a normal thing with these cars, but I only really noticed it after draining / refilling my autobox four times. carl0s
it's almost as though it might be the rear shocks - due to the car squatting, but it's clearing not since it doesn't happen over speedbumps, and most noticably happens when changing from forward motion to reverse motion. garetheves
I get this as well and have been thinking bout posting it up. Best way i can describe it is its like the sound of a stone being flicked up into the wheel arch. Definately sounds to be coming from right rear wheel and mainly when setting off, shifting in low gears or switching reverse to 1st. I also thought it was suspension but doesnt happened over bumps. This is *definately* not the same noise I am describing. Once I figure out a good way to record these sounds, I'll post up an mp3.

ewizzy
I get roughly 3 clicks when setting off after reversing, or reversing after going forward. Just got back from the garage, diagnoses, wheel bearing failure Oh well, part number search time
Spyda
Isn't that noise something to do with the brakes? I thought it was the springs adjusting them selves for the direction you're about to travel? I'm sure someone who know's what they're talking about will be along shortly... Adam
