n boost
Can u get old/knackered wheel bearings rebuilt from any where? Someone said u can but never heard off any places and a quick search on google didn't find much either!
ozz
can't see that it would be worth it. I had massive issues finding a wheel bearing for a frontera years back (don't ask) and found a company that sold only bearings (not just for cars). Was only about £20 for a bearing. Clydach Bearings I think, won't help you though!
lexsum
Isint the problem with bearings that they wear out so the metal is worn away causing them to have space for transverse movement and instability as a result, so how would the metal be repaired other than replacing the rings? n boost
I haven't a clue lol! I just replaced a wheel bearing in my e46 m3 and it cost's £175 from the stealer! I still have my old one as they come built into the hub and was wondering if i can get someone to recon it and keep it as a spare, quite sure it would be way less than the stealer. Chris Wilson
No, they are special bearings unique to the job.
