The knob gripped in your hand

What about this one? I like the feel of stock (had a feel of my mates) but fancy something a little different

Ghastly looking, but it shouldn't give the nasty heat issues you get with alu knobs.

Something taller works well as the throw becomes easier with a larger gear stick :)

Yes, but a longer shift and therefore slower change times. It's one thing I really disliked with the veilside shifter, it was a fair bit longer than stock, but although needed less effort to shift it took a noticably longer time to change gear. IMO Develop a stronger left arm if the stock one is too much work :D

True, and the reason I was making high 12's not 11's :innocent:

I have always said I dont like the 6 speed box much, the longer gear stick made it easier to live with for me

That's what I have on mine, it was on the car when I got it. I'm after a short shift kit for the car due to the long throw between gears.

C's Short Shifter for 1993-98 Supra 6-speed

This is it! The ultimate short shifter for the Supra! This is the highest quality shifter money can buy and MVP Motorsports brought it back from extinction just for you! C's Japan had discontinued this shifter in 2003, but thanks to special negotiations by us it is now alive and available again.

Why spend twice as much on this short shifter than its competitor? Simple - its the best. Best quality parts, shortest and most accurate shift available, and has never been known to break into 2 pieces like "some" shifters.

This shifter not only retains the factory "reverse lock-out" feature, it comes with its own which is part of the reason it is expensive.

Click here for a bigger picture. Note this is the exact shifter for the 1993+ Supra Twin Turbo 6-speed

Blimey, that's expensive. I was looking at the C's one on nenguns site.

Stock

It's leather, very heavy (helps the feel somewhat), and doesn't freeze in cold weather or get too hot to touch in warm weather like the tat ones ;)

Totally agree, had a cheap ripspeed one on mine when i bought it so replaced it with a momo one but while i was messing about taking the dash panel off i put the worn stock one on so as not to scratch my momo knob:blink: but I've left the stock one on now as it feels much better.

That's my opinion anyway, just need a new stock one now:d
