gt4tosupra
Hi all, i have a blitz Nur spec R back box, and a decat section, which i'm assuming is also blitz, but something somewhere is rattling in the exhaust at low engine revs, if i need to replace the downpipe, or whatever comes next after that in the exhaust pipework, what bits would i need to connect the blitz decat pipe to the exhaust manifold? cheers! I have the same system, I purchased an after market decat pipe aswell. It sounds awesome, but not as horrific as those I have heard with a straight through system. At low revs or as you pull away mine makes a rattle, im pretty sure that because there are fewer mounds the rattle is the sound of the exhaust rattling on the underside of the car mate I doubt its anything to worry about. Try getting under your car and checking the clearences and that the rubber mounts for the piep work are all ok!
gt4tosupra
Tried to get under a couple of times but cant seem to pin point it mate! think i need to jack it up to get a closer look! its got a whifbitz 2nd cat decat pipe btw, connected to the blitz nur rear box! Hope i dont need any new bits tho, as there expensive!!
Keefred
Mine did this, an awful rattle on start up and while driving, mine sounded like the back box baffle had broken up or somethng so i took it out, it was fine but I had to grind the fixing bolt off to get it out, sounds awesome without the baffle but the main point of me looking at it was not to piss off the neighbours at 6.15 am every morning. I found the baffle was fine and put it back on sunday with a coating of silicon rtv. No more rattle since
Guest bennyessex
I called in a favour from a pal and got it on an MOT ramp its much easier! But yer its more then likely clearance issues. Other thing that rattles is the heat shield on the manifold
gt4tosupra
Funnily enough, i put my baffle in the other week, then the rattle started, but when i removed it the noise remained! think its coming from the front section of exhaust!
