michael
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8256260.stm Celebrity chef Keith Floyd has died following a heart attack, aged 65. He died at his partner's home in Dorset after the heart attack on Monday night, according to the ghost-writer of his autobiography, James Steen. Floyd, from Faringdon in Oxfordshire, shot to fame in the 1980s in highly distinctive cookery shows, often fronted with a glass of wine in hand. His idiosyncratic, often shambolic, style of presentation endeared him to millions of viewers around the world. I noticed "Keith on Keith" was on TV last night but I recorded it, sad that he died on the same night.

Havard
RIP Keith Floyd. Very funny man, I can't remember which comedy show he was on where they were taking the piss out of him with "Floyd on ????". They set him up with props and did "Floyd On Fire" and "Floyd On Fish" etc. I thought it was funny anyway.... H.

Charlotte
Not Keith too. I suspose at least it's some consolation that he didn't suffer with the cancer too much before he went.
hogmaw
He is single handedly responsible for my quaffing of a bottle of wine each time I cook. RIP.

Gaz6002
He is single handedly responsible for my quaffing of a bottle of wine each time I cook. RIP. He certainly had an effect on how I've turned out He rode the first wave of proper celebrity chefs - and unlike most - actually commands some respect. Tannhauser
I watched that 'Keith on Keith' documentary. Astonishing how the drink - or other aspects of lifestyle - had prematurely aged him. He really looked a good twenty years more than his chronological age.
Ewen
My wife often burns offerings to the Food God Floyd. Another sad loss today.
