hoff
I have a HKS evc 6 boost controller which I was having plumbed in tonight but seem to have hit a few problems. The reasult of this is I'm only hitting 0.6 bar, previously I was at 1.05. It feels as if the 2nd turbo isn't coming on. I'm guesing we havn't plumbed in the hoses to the correct position or something. Can anyone help tell e what needs to go where. Also am i being totally stupid in thinking I could on see 1 actuator? Im TT. Also the boost controller wasn't reading the speed. Can anyone tell me the pin outs I require to contect to. I may have cocked that up too. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Steve
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=148561&highlight=evc That should help you out with the Speed signal. Although with the EVC6 it doesnt show the actual speed, it counts up in single figures. ie when it shows 1 = 10-20mph, 2 = 20-30mph, 3 = 30-40mph and so on. You need to have it set for 'Swing Valve' not 'Poppet valve', it connects the the actuator at the front of the engine, its a little awkward to get to. hoff
Thanks Steve:). I used those pin outs so must have not done it properly. We'll have another look at the weekend now probably. I know nothing about these sort of things and my mate who is a mechanic has only done a couple. I will try and post a pic of what has been plumbed in where. That may help with any other problems too. It may just be that the controller settings need playing with. Complicated stuff:blink:
hoff
Here are a few crappy pics. Best I could get though srry. The left hose (as you look at the pic) goes to the actuator at the front of the engine, the middle to the 2nd pipe (I think, cant see now on the pic) and the right hose to the T piece. Is this any help? Once I know what goes where I'll tidy the hoses up properly. Once again sorry for the quality of the info and pics.
