DSK
Firstly I have used the search facility and read several threads about fellow members and HID issues, experiences etc but cannot find the info I am looking for. I'm condiering upgrading to a HID kit as my car has very old ageing holgen bulbs so I either need to replace them or upgrade. I have been searching the internet and know that if I was go for for a HID kit, I'd want a 6000K option. However there are many brands to choose from and I would happily pay more for premium quality kit rather than be a tight wad and get something from the likes of Ebay. Can anyone advise which brands are best and which ones are best avoided? Also what do you guys think of these ones below; http://www.carhidkits.com/xenon-hid-kit-99/philips-hid-kit-4300k-or-6000k-243.html http://www.carhidkits.com/xenon-hid-kit-99/6000k-hid-kit-183.html
imi
Plenty of threads about this subject. Terminator
It is a bit of a mine field in the HID market. Good quality ballasts are what gives long life and reliability to HID kits.

pistonbroke
I bought the kit from knightracer for my new UK headlamps. Not the cheapest, and they come in a nice box I'm not sure on my choice yet as I've not even seen them switched on. I went for the 10000k kit................. Most will say they're too blue no doubt, but I quite like the blue hue HIDS I know wolfking will like them
Guest blueangel
I bought a kit from Trax at the end of the day and only paid £50, the quality of the kit actually looks quite good but obviously i cant really comment until i have the headlights fitted which is one of the next jobs on my list.I went for the 8000 so just a tint of blue. The company is in leicester and gave a years warranty on the ballasts so if they last a year i dont mind that at all.
DodgyRog
A couple of threads from when I got mine Touch wood, I havn't had any problems with mine at all and night driving is greatly improved. The Restorer
There was a group buy on here a few years ago. I bought a set off that for my UK car but never got round to fitting them. They're 4500k though, if you're interested.

imi
They're 4500k though, if you're interested. now now, thats WHITE light, realise that it lights up the road the best compared to other temps but who wants that......some supra lovers prefer a higher tint of blue over light......after all they have to look bling. pistonbroke
You can get 12000k if you really want the bling, just don't expect to see much in the dark. They are more purple than blue

DSK
Been having a look at some of the links here on the thread. Being a UK car I have double checked to ensure I know which bulb type I need. I have made an enquriy at a local store to see if they can get me info and a price on a genuine Philips HID kit and also the HIDs4U kit looks quite decent for warranty and no interferance; http://www.hids4u.co.uk/hb4-hids4u-slim-35w-hid-xenon-conversion-e4-certified-ballasts-c-18-p-1-pr-173.html

Jellybean
I have the Bellof kit but they are crazy money , 800-1110 pound, cant see the difference to justify the price http://www.bellof.co.jp/
AdzC
I got my 4300k set from vision bulbs in the group buy although the code is still valid I think. I would like a set for my facelift fogs but it looks a bit more work than the dipped.

I can verify the bulbs fit prefacelift lamps (I now have prefacelift refurbs on). I still have the box, so if you let me know exactly what information you want I can put it on here, including pictures. Props go to m_life as he put my new lights in and also helped install the HIDs. The lights are very bright white and look fantastic. Pleasure to drive at night.
