Guigsy
yeah they are i think. im sure air and normal tyres would do for 99.% of people though Considdering the saving you also dont HAVE to have runflats. Besides every car ive been in with runflats was horrably bumpy. worse than my supe. lol
imi
yeah they are i think. you can put nitrogen in any tyre.....hence my comment, no specific to that particular tyre
Ian C
Well, regarding the tyre issue, he'd had it for two weeks so the other three were still new. My friend quite wisely decided that he'd like four identical branded tyres, thanks, rather than nail on a.n.other brand and completely cock up the dynamics. So it'd be £600 for the new one or the best part of £1500 for a full new set of other tyres. I know some people on here would stick any old random ebay rubber on their Supra as long as it was a) cheap and b) cheap, and run three different brands across the four corners*, but I can't help feel that's unwise for any car, never mind a sixty grand two week old bonkersotron like the GTR Besides, running other tyres probably invalidates the warranty I think someone else on the GTR forums found the rear view mirror was something crazy like £500? Parts for this beast are not cheap. Someone else backed into a bollard and the rear bumper was £6,000 painted? My info is 3rd hand at best but I've not heard anyone saying "wow that bit was cheap" yet -Ian *not aimed at any contributor to this thread btw, you are all wise to query my assertations
imi
Wonder whether these GTR owners have heard of tyre insurance
Miguel
A little costly to service compared to its benchmark. But then if you've got 58k to buy one in the 1st place the service cost shouldn't be a problem. Brake Fluid £25.62 Engine Oil 5l £73.89 Engine Oil and Filter 5.5l £87.44 Shock Absorber (1) £605.91 Front Bumper £591.13 Tire Fr £477.83, Rr £571.43 Brake Pad and Rotor (1 car) £2285.71 Front Brake Calipers £1330.05 Transmission Oil (9.7l) £277.14 Rear Diffuser Panel £1896.55 Exhaust Pipe £630.54 Door £768.
Scoboblio
A little costly to service...... Door £768.47 I know they're powerful cars, but replacing the doors as part of a service seems a bit over the top IMO.
