tony tt
Hi folks i just went out to check my oil and water and noticed the water bottle was empty so i took the rad cap off to check the radiator had water in it. As i took the cap off the bottom part was all perished as if the heat was too much for it and it fell inside my radiator? i have the cap the spring and the rubber seal the other part went inside is this a major problem and will it cause my water pump to fail? Im startin to get really sick its one thing after another lately i know this isnt a supra cap but its only a quick pick its the inner shiney bit thats perished and fell inside my radiator! Swampy442
It wouldnt go further than the top of the radiator anyway due to the construction of it But kudos on fishing it out anyway lol

pistonbroke
It wouldnt go further than the top of the radiator anyway due to the construction of it But kudos on fishing it out anyway lol I thought it would, the top of the rad is like a small expansion chamber above the core. The bit that always cracks around the cap. This is near to the top rad hose, so surely the bit could make its way into it?
