kosmic
Due to working away from home now, i’m not using the car anymore and won’t be for another year. So unfortunately will have to part with the car that has given me the most pleasure in owing and driving. Id rather it go to someone who will drive the car and take pride in these fantastic machines or alternatively would be looking at something more practical to take away with me like an Audi/BMW oil burner, I’ve yet to even consider suggesting the itch for another Supe to the Misses I have driven the car every other day to work and back and have since spent a lot of my time and Joolz of Track Car Solutions knowledge to get it running right from when i bought it, it has been an absolute joy to own. It’s 1997 TVR Cerbera AJP 4.2 V8 In beautiful Rosso Red with 41,755 miles. Full Cream leather. Uprated cams, Raceline RL7's, 17” Running Toyo Proxes T1’s all round AP racing brakes, 4pots up front and 2 pots on the rear. Decatted. (The noise and pops n bangs n flames on over run are truly spectacular) It has had the all important engine rebuild in 2006 by Gatwick TVR together with fully rebuilt heads and uprated cams. Valves re-seated and re-sealed. Since i have owned the car i have spent a fair sum of money perfecting and ironing out the little niggles that it had: New radiator & new coolant hoses/system & new thermostat, and no overheating issues. New Throttle pots & banks balanced with synchrometer and software together with the MBE 971 ECU being recalibrated. Software and cables will be supplied with car. Joolz TCS cooling chip fitted. New Gaz gold adjustable coilovers New power steering pump. New double bubble door seals – No leaks. Full service, with NGK plugs, Silkolene Pro oil. Previously fully resprayed by SP Automotive together with the Chassis & all important outriggers treated and repainted. All electrics work. Windows, alarm, mirrors, buttons, switches, dials etc For those that don’t know these cars, the performance is brutal (how many of you have seen that Clarkson/Top Gear Drag race?!)...... TVR’s first and last 4 seater (3+1). Also TVR's first in house non-Rover V8 engine. 380~400 BHp @6500rpm 0-60 in 3.9 secs 0-100 in 9.5 secs Top speed of 180+ mph In a car that weighs little over 1100kg. Equates to approx. 345 Bhp/Ton! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TVR_Cerbera Bad points: • Clutch has started to slip so will be having a fresh clutch fitted shortly or will reduce the car by £1000 only if the new owner prefers to do it themselves. (TVR POWER currently running an offer of a new clutch fitted for £699+VAT!) • Tear in drivers side bolster and stitching has come away on base of seat. • Steering wheel slightly worn on outer edges. • Aircon needs regassing . Car has MOT until 1st July 2010 tax until 31st Dec 2009. All in all this is a fantastic Cerbera in excellent condition with all the main issues that affect Cerberas done. The car drives perfect and does not smoke or leak. I will be more than happy to demonstrate the car to any potential buyer but strictly no test pilots, if your reading thus far you will have done your homework and know what these cars are about. I will be looking for £12995. There are cheaper cars out there but also potential money pits as these cars need a fair budget to maintain correctly. If there is anything ive missed just email or call me 07983 407441. Please excuse the poor quality pics, taken on my camera phone. Car will be going on Pistonheads next week. http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/513/33065261.jpg http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/1443/82721819.jpg http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/421/23698228.jpg http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/8100/15195372.jpg http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/686/99573171.jpg http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/3650/13506084.jpg http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/150/13754910.jpg http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/4483/98956250.jpg
