ellis
Evening folks. As my car is currently at the bodyshop being patched up I had a thought about the aerial - the rear quarter (as is most of the car now) is having to be resprayed due to 'bricking' and I thought this might be an ideal time to remove the aerial and weld the hole up! If so, what's the best replacement for this? Obviously there's a bee-sting at the back of the roof or an internal one I suppose. Thoughts? Suggestions? Technical know-how appreciated! pbryant_knight
My Supra aerial has been snapped off also so i'm thinking of this. My honda has an aerial that is next to the heated rear windscreen filaments in the car and uses these to pick up the signal. an ingenious idea with excellent reception although i'm not sure how to fit one. pistonbroke
As per my build thread by supra loopy, I've had the R/C car aerial removed. I plan to use the existing loom in the rear quarter to fit an internal aerial. I will run the loom up the trim to the top of the window on the inside of the car. The put the aerial on the inside top of the window. With the window tinted, you'll never see it.
ellis
Cheers mate - that sounds ideal - is the aerial cable easy to source?

But imagine this at the top of the rear screen inside, you'll never notice it.
