MrRalphMan
Having a clear out and found this in the spare room. IBM T21 - 256MB. A bit scuffed up, but is working and running Linux at the moment. No inbuilt WiFi, but does come with a Linksys WPC54G card. Not recognosed by the Linux distro, but forum threads seems to indicate that this is pretty simple (for a IT geek maybe) to setup. This Lappy does have a serial port as some people need one to map their cars. The battery is not great at holding a charge, not sure if this is due to it being in the spare room for quite a while or if it needs replacing. It will run Win2K or WinXp ok, a little slow but not too bad.. The Wireless card is found and works fine with Windows. I only put Linux on it to double check it and also remove my XP key. Collection from Essex would be prefered.

michael
Lovely little machines these, we used to give the T20s out to users and never had any issues with them other than the batteries expiring early. Most of them have 1024 x 768 displays, a few could do 1400 x 1050.

MrRalphMan
Resolution is 1024 x 768 (at least I know it's not the higher one that michael said). HDD = 18GB. It's a nice little machine, you can upgrade to 512MB (The max the machine handles) and it'll take Windows a bit better then. Just form an orderly line.... michael
I probably have 256mb knocking around for one of these if the successful taker wants it.
MrRalphMan
Not 100% sure if the machine has 1 256MB module or 2x128Mb module, but I can check when I get in tonight.
JustGav
Stick a stripped down version of XP such as perhaps TinyXP, and it could make a rather handy ECU tuning machine
