jackso11
Does anyone know if this can be changed easily? Mine has one of the cheap aftermarket seals that comes on a roll and is just cut to length to go around the window. I looks like I can just pull it out, but does the toyota one just press back in place? Nic, if you read this I have searched and found this by you.. 75573-14210 Toyota Rear Window Seal outer = £28 including postage guessing thats the part but can't PM you for some reason. Do you still get them for this price? If I get it, can I fit it myself by just pressing it in?

jackso11
I don't see it as a difficult job but have been advised to get a window company to put it in. If I can just pull out the old one, surely I should be able to just press in the new one....right? Anyone had a go at this? Or are there any window specialists on here who can tell me how to do it as I am keen to do it myself.
jackso11
Nobody know how this is held in? it looks to me like it is just pressed in. I can get the existing one out easy enough because it is not a fluch fitting one like a toyota seal. From what I can tell I can just pull this old one out, leave the window in place as its bonded in, and just press a new seal all the way round. Somebody must have attempted this before, right? michael
When I got a spare rear hatch resprayed the bloke that did it got a window company in to remove the old glass and put my UK one in with a new seal, I didn't see it happen but it looked as though it just pressed in. I got my Toyota seal from Nic but the options above might work out OK for you. Probably worth treating the rust you get in the usual places while you are in there. jackso11
just to help anyone in future searching for this, I pulled my old seal out (the non toyota one) and it just presses in. Pulled it out as the sticky pads from the old roof spoiler went under it. Easily pressed it back in again. It kind of hooks onto the window when its pressed in.
