Jake
Was there not a 2nd camera in the seats? That will come into play on friday I'm sure as it was not used live. Maybe that will be key? There was a second camera at the back corner of the room that they cut to for a single second - but when they they cut back the first angle was from a different height and more to the left. The first camera man could be seen in the shot from the second camera and was wasn't moving. So, the major part of the trick was shot using this undisclosed fixed 3rd camera, with an artificial camera wobble added. I noticed that after the switch the last ball (39) was raised up slightly, not touching the perspex base of its holder, like it been put there in hurry, but I can make out at what point the switch happened. AndrewOW
Or maybe the money he promised us all to look the other way for a moment will come out of his lottery win! I hope the cheque's in the post

hoff
If camera tricks are involved how is this something we can all do? That is my my only concern with that theory. He plays tricks on the mind so TBH I'm starting to think less of the camera tricks. Bloody JAE, I'll have to wait until sunday to watch it. Jake
Digital Spy much? Nope, I've never been on there as far as I recall. Half of the interwebs are talking about this show today though. I took those screenshots myself after reading somebody's comments on a YouTube clip this morning. The guy was saying that the camera angle seemed to change after the cut to 2nd camera, which is what made me look.

michael
Hmm, a snowflake.... A hint at the symmetry I guess, draw a line down the middle of a snowflake and it's the same at both sides? Draw a line down the screen and then mess around with software that creates camera shake no self-respecting camera man would ever make and do the old swaparoo but leave one ball slightly too high as previous mentioned and give it away? JohnA
Pretty clever and about as live as it gets. We watched him on one TV and the Lottery on another. Minimal delay. My guess is that his balls can display any number via some techy gizmo.
Scott
I hate Derren Brown but i LOVED that illusion. I have my own idea's about how it is done but i'm looking forward to the reveal tonight. The reason for no audience is that they are using a split screen. The balls on the stand are replaced as they are drawn but with the previous recording and some fancy software the person swapping the balls is edited out. He says no camera tricks which seems to be the illusion lol.

Scott
He is a prick and his audience are actors. Deep maths he says hmmmm All that stuff was legit, its easy enough if you know how. The way he predicted the numbers was a load of crap though.
w41k3r
clever really he got what he wanted an audience think how many people watched it
Pixelfill
So the lottery was fixed, I want my stake back as I had no chance of winning. Camelot are going to go bust, Derren Brown is going to jail. What a crock of sh!7.
Willson
Bollocks. What a disappointment. I'd have preferred the more likely camera trick explanation!
RedM
As I've been saying it wasn't about the Lottery draw it was about prepping us for something bigger. Anyone catch the unnecessary use of 'handsome' in his intro, the 23 in the corner of the screen and some others I noted at the time but forget now. The whole thing was a front for something larger. At the end of the series I'm thinking he'll go back over everything to point out exactly what he wanted from us in each programme.
Willson
I used to be a big fan, but I don't think I have enjoyed anything he has done in the last 2 or 3 years. Remember at the races "THIS is the winning ticket" - that was a good one lol Oh and remember the advertising execs that designed a poster that was full of stuff they had seen on the way. I thought that sort of stuff was much cleverer and more interesting. The NLP stuff, if that is indeed genuine...
Axle
Would someone be kind enough to briefly explain what he 'revealed', as i was out and missed it? Although even if i was in i wouldn't have watched the fraduster, as clever as he is.
Willson
He made out that a group of 24 (?) volunteers used "automatic" writing and studied a load of previous lottery results and tried to work out what the next result would be and then averaged the groups prediction. Basically a load of rubbish lol
