Supradan
My car has been running lumpy for ages now. The revs have been dropping during gear changes making them feel jerky and really annoying me. I have changed the coil pack clips, the spark plugs, stripped and cleaned the idle valve but still no good. Finally got round to checking the O2 sensor today and it was bouncing between 0.1 to 0.9 volts on idle...........sounds like its a bit buggered to me. I have had a secondhand one hanging around for ages but never got round to fitting it, so today i spent 30 mins working the nuts loose with wd40, eventually got them off and changed the sensor. Checked the voltage and its hovering around the 0.490v on idle now. Pulled the ecu fuses for a couple of mins then went out for a varied drive................ What a bloody difference, i can change gear again and not look like i need learner plates The only thing i am a bit worried about is there were 4 sets of numbers on the sensor 3 lots were identical but the bottom number was different, i hope this doesnt make any difference. Ian C
Sounds fine If you've noticed the car drives properly now, and it sounds far beyond a mere placebo effect, and the voltage is in the right place, I'd say it's fixed. -Ian
