Hi,

ive got a dual sbc and would like to know what settings you'se find the best.

im trying to run the most 14psi for now.

i use 38 ratio

gain 10

and i forget about the name of the limit...but its also 10(i think its %)so if overboosting it reduces it by 10%

its a Jspec engine and im running the turbos in TTC

thanks for any help you'se can give

Not quite so soon.

Don't have my settings on me, but i will let you know.

Only thing is mazman is in Ozz and i think he may need different settings due to warmer temps.

I'm running :

1 - Gain = 20

Ratio = 40 Which gives me about 1kg\cm

4 - Gain = 20

Ratio = 76 Which gives me about 1.4kg\cm

My warning is set to 1.45kg\cm. I only really use these two different settings. 1 for day to day driving and 4 for spirited moments. :)

Mazman, are you running the stock ceramic turbos?

I don't know what effect running it in true twin would have but if I used Martins 76 ratio, I think something would die quickly.

FWIW, mines de-catted with a restrictor plate fitted, going on to a Hiper.

I have a gain of 12 and my 1st ratio is set at 20, this gives me about 1 - 1.1 bar, and my second is set to 55, this gives me about 1.3 anything over this point, my EGT's start climbing above 900.

My warning is set to 1.33 with a ratio drop (?) of 5

Like Martin, I only use the two settings.

thanks guys,that very helpfull.

i wont be running more the 1kg/1bar as i have the ceramic wheels.

until i go single.

i just wanna learn more about the gains../ratio

ok,so ratio i understand, its to do with the amount of boost bleed.

what would the difference be between the gain of 20 and 12?

would the gain of 20 get the boost there quicker but with a more chance of a spike?

cheers guys

Danny

Exactly that.

More gain, more chance of a spike but the quicker you build boost.

Who me ??

I am only seeing spikes about 1.46kg\cm, remember my warning (limiter) is set at 1.45kg\cm so that will try to knock boost back when activated.

It's actually quite comforting as my Greddy P&Hold meter measures near as damn it the same peak as the DSBC.

yes you :conf:

hmm, thats a reasonable spike, I used to hit that as real boost in my import. I will try and keep my spikes below that when the car comes back.

Will be nice to finally have a fast Supra again. 320bhp just isnt enough.
