jk136
My girlfriends brother has a Pug 106 which he stuck in his garage over a year ago, not run or moved at all, since. He wants me to get it going this week sometime, but when he put it in there, he didnt do any kind of prep work. Obviously, Im expecting the battery will be flat as it wasnt disconnected. But what else should I expect to find? Fuel gone 'off'?? Will I need to drop the oil?? And what about coolants? Will they need changing? Help would be appreciated. michael
Flat spots on the tyres, possible to a point where it needs 4 new ones. Rats. Mould. Seized brakes / handbrake. Seized other things. The tape left in the player might not be current.
Branners
If its a good dry garage then chances are the flat battery will be it. Dampness is what kills a car, if you ever park a car on grass and leave it there then dont expect it to even move, but if it is dry then it should be fine. Modern oils wont go off in a year, but perhaps change it if you feel you must. Tyres may be squiffed if they had a slow leak, but if at the right pressure they should be fine. Swampy442
Brakes are the main thing. Just remember to pull the LT lead off and turn the engine over a short while to prime the fuel and oil systems
