jacko
I was bought a driving experience last Christmas and thought it was about time i did it! I've just checked on the Rockingham site and the list of cars has been updated, so i wondered what people reckoned i should go for? This choices are- Ariel Atom Audi R8 Aston V8 Vantage Ferrari 360 Single seater Lambo Gallardo Lotus Elise Porsche 911 Turbo V8 touring car
Havard
The R8 and Aston Vantage are a joy to drive. If you want something a bit more raw and wayward then take the Ferrari 360. One thing that hit home to me after doing a couple of these. I wouldn't buy a Ferrari as they are put together with Pritt Stick.... H. Guigsy
the lambo or the v8 touring car for me. Or maybe the atom.
jacko
Im thinking raw would be the Atom. I know what you mean about Ferraris, when i was in a mate's F430 convertible in the rain, the roof was leaking like a b*stard!

The R8 was a different class tbh..!! H.
Al Massey
Lambo or Atom for me
JustGav
Atom, definitely, pure speed and performance in it's rawest kind, the rest will just be comfortable versions of the above
AJI
Out of those on the list definitely the Single seater or the Atom You'd definitely get the biggest 'adrenalin rush' with those. Single seater is where you would get the purest raw feel for a 4-wheeled machine on a track. And because you don't have anyone sitting beside you then you can 100% conentrate on the experience and take it all in without some voice shouting to slow down. Edit to add.... the rest on the list would feel very 'tame' compared to the Single-seater or Atom.
jacko
Yeah i agree. I think the thing is, the car needs to be much faster than the Supra, or there isnt much point. So im definately swaying towards the Atom
Chris Wilson
What sort of single seater is it? If it's something well set up it should be by far the potentially fastest thing on the list, even if it's a Formula Ford 1600 Kent. If you have never driven a single seater you should find it eye opening, especially if it's wet!
jacko
It's one of these http://www.racing-school.co.uk/driving/frockoval.asp
AJI
Yes they will be plenty fast enough, but it does say you will be behind a pace car So depending on how fast they let you drive you may have a good laugh in the single-seater. jacko
Just read at Rockingham in the single seater you drive round the Oval, which sounds boring to me and a complete waste of a single seater
AJI
If only on the oval then totally pointless IMO. 2nd choice will be the Atom...assuming they do let you go round some corners?
Wez
I have done an Atom experience and they are great fun, the single seater would be 1st on the list depending on the restrictions they impose on you.
stevie_b
I'd say toss up between the single seater and the touring car. Apart from on days like this, you'd never have the opportunity to drive either of them. If you want to drive something that you could own at a later date and drive on the roads, then the Atom gets my vote.
AlexJames
R8 for me
Dave
drove a single seater at pembrey something i will never forget only had a speed limiter ,no pace car no rev limit---- AWESOME.
Gaz6002
Single seaters are brilliant fun, go for that! The Atom is second choice.
jacko
I've gone for the single seater, there was an option for the circuit not just the oval, so ive gone for that. They are not currently offering the Atom due to lack of interest. I suppose these things are mainly bought for people that say "ooohhh a Ferrari....." and just drive that
