you have the same as everyone elses that has changed... your just thick :p

If thats the case then i don't see the issue. You type what you want to look for, click search then click "images" to view what you want to view.

What exactly has stopped working?

The fact that if you can't then perform the same search for videos, change the image search and then go back to a general web search without retyping the search criteria into the box.

Basically you get stuck on an image only search engine, losing one of the best features that Google had - being able to type the search criteria once and then search across all types of media by simply clicking on the navigation bar. Maybe you never used Google this way, but without this ability it's as much use as a chocolate fire-guard!!

Does your "back" button not work?

I guess i didn't use it, back always worked for me. However, you said that yours doesn't work the same way as mine does anymore. Has that now changed? I really wish you would make up your mind, is it or is it not the same as mine?

I type into the search... click search and then click on what i want to view... be it "video" or "image" or whatever. Are you saying that now does work at your end... or it doesn't?

My query isn't what has changed but what is different between the versions of google that we are seeing. How many people when they type in "biscuits" & click search get the same google page as me with the results?

What seems, in my mind, to be very simple is being made to look overly complicated because you can't make your mind up on whether the google i am using is the same as yours or not.

I'm saying it doesn't work the way you've described. When I hit 'search' I lose all the links to images, video, maps news etc, so can't do what you're saying above - so I don't think it's working the same as yours seems to be.

From the pics you posted it looks like you'll get stuck in the images search with no way to get to a different type of search without pressing 'back' or 'home'

Going to see what it's like tomorrow - maybe they're in the process of updating the system and it's cocked up

Its always been like that though. Once you click "images" or "Videos" you have to use the back button to go back. Yourself and Guigsy are having an issue with the top bar represented on the Jpeg i posted. Its not showing on your google.

I was trying to point out that it may in fact be an issue at your end and not an issue with google. Perhaps one of their updates has screwed the cookies in your PC or something.

I think Google have been trialling something new as it's just gone back to normal. I hope they don't roll out whatever abortion of an application I was using this afternoon!!
