i noticed this yesterday. bloody annoying. i normaly type into my search bar in firefox what i want a picture of and then when google comes up press the image button. but now you have to go to the main page. press image and the retype the whole thing. it used to save what you searched for if you did that so you just pressed search again now it doesnt and just removes it.

Exactly, absolute rubbish, if it's a new feature. From doing a search it seems that it may be something Google are testing on random people. Hopefully they'll abandon it.

Michael - I use Google Chrome and use the address bar to enter my search criteria which then defaults me to normal Google.co.uk. Never used iGoogle.

Ahh i'm with you now. I never noticed you could do that before to be honest. Its not something i have ever used in the past. Would the back button not suffice? You made it sound like after hitting "search" the links disappear. They didn't, as per my first pic.

Actually, that's a good point - mine do disappear once I hit search, so not sure why yours are still there... curiouser and curiouser
