Fitz
Ok, I know a few members including myself use mobile broadband from various mobile providers, some good, some not so good. 3UK, is just about to release a new innovation in Mobile Broadband a device called MiFi. It is a little modem which emits a wireless signal to up to 5 wireless devices, rather than the plug in modems to just suit one. Here's the link, if anyone is interested in reading up on it, some of you may already be aware. http://www.threemediacentre.co.uk/Content/Detail.aspx?ReleaseID=426&NewsAreaID=
Pot
Looks like a pretty good idea, shame it's on 3, but I guess it won't be long until the other providers follow suit.
JustGav
In theory it is an okay idea... BUT given that all it is doing is repeating 3G via wifi and the performance on 3G is abysmal on a single client solution it would be even worse with 5 clients using the same connection. The next generation networks are already being trailed so they are simply trying to get as much publicity for an old system which is going to be replaced anyway and in the process giving mobile data networks a shonky reputation.
