KaiBosh
Did you get paid out more than the car is being sold for?? As if you miss it that much you could buy it back if you really wanted to or would you rather start over again? I got 3500 for it which is very reasonable in the current climate. I invested in tools-in-trade (a new Mac) to earn more money - the plan is to save for a UK spec. Can't wait! Cheers KaiBosh
Jezz
Yeah basically its not been recorded. Did they give you the option to repair it? Seems a bit strange that they've paid out, taken the car and its still clear. The occasional one slips through as NRC. We once bought an R34 GTR that was supposedly cat c, ended up never getting recorded. Still broke it up though.
KaiBosh
They did, Jezz, yeah. The assessor rang actually and gave me the option. There were a few other extenuating circumstances and I made the right choice in the end. I spoke with you briefly about getting a viscous coupling from you as I was visiting friends up near QSD at the weekend. The next day I twatted it on a kerb and wrote it off. Didn't need the coupling in the end Thanks for the info though, and for your avatar picture which has made me LOL about 10 times now. pistonbroke
The insurance company haven't written it off, as it's not in their interest I suppose. They can sell it on for more if it's not got a write off marker on it.
ray007
hi mate, just letting you now its also advertised on piston heads http://pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=271 Hello gang, I wrote off my Supe with damage to the suspension recently and I'm shocked to see it on Ebay right now for £3600. I filled in the V5 and sent it to the insurer and received payment, but I got a letter yesterday from the DVLA saying someone is applying for ownership and if I still have the V5 I can be prosecuted. There is no mention of the write-off in the Ebay listing. Is there underhandedness afoot? It's so sad to see my beloved car again, I had assumed it would be dismantled. How do these things work?
