Ride in a Supercar...

Apart from it being 'on track';

does it effect your policy if someone pays you to be in your passenger seat when a collision occurs?

I suspect the insurers will suggest your policy will be null and void if you are using the car for business purposes. It might be that they claim the money is donated/paid to a 3rd party but it is still a money making venture and you can be damned sure any sensible insurer will try back out.

The passenger will always be insured some how either against the insurer or the MIB but its a lot of risk for £20.

I also suspect that a lot of the cars won't have insurance for the track or for taking passengers on the track.

Edit: Above is clear speculation though as for all I know they all might have insurance to cover or some special policy etc.

This does raise an interesting point...

Is it possible to get insurance for carrying passengers, after all it is motorsport and there are usually signs saying 'Motorsport is dangerous'.

If you were to setup a company offering passenger rides and letting people out in a car on a track what would be required? Public Liability? or is it not valid for this scenario. Would a well worded disclaimer not suffice?
