Fox
I’m not a happy camper. I Ordered a new hose kit for my supra as I want to change all the old and dull looking one’s to Blue and Red ones. On striping the hoses I discovered a large patch of filler’s in the middle of the radiator, approximately 2” X 2”. I could not believe it….. I’ve had my supra for 2 weeks now and the car is motoring fine with no major problems at this stage. I’m not the most knowledgeable about this but even I know this should have been a replacement job. Anyways, can some one please give me some advice as to what I should do now? I have a new GReddy 3 Row, HG Intercooler waiting to be fitted and I am now thinking once I have this to do is there an up rated Radiator I can install. Also now that I have this all to do what else should I do at this stage. Thanks for any help or advice Fox
ballsoutracing
Bit of bad luck there Fox, but think you can get a radiator pretty cheaply, try Trainors in Armaghj, they have a few Supras in. Any pics of the your orange squeeze?
Fox
Yea, i'll be calling Trainors tomorrow first thing, but I might hold of and look more into the PWR and the Fluidyne Radiators. I also got a contact in Newry who would be able to re-core the existing one for about £100 - £150 Just found it hard to belive someone could own a supra and patch it the way they have. It's something you might do to a £200 - £300 car, but not to a Supra. Some people don't deserve car's like the supra, if they want a cheap thrill they should stick to the red lights where there moms work. ARAGHhhh sorry for the rant!!! Maybe i can get some "Over nights parts from JaPang" Amyway, as for the pictures i'll post some when i get the bloody wing of it and get a proper spoiler on. Dragonball
IMHO - If you can get the existing one cored for a quick fix go for it - but if going serious power then get a fluidyne / PWR (both are good - I prefer PWR personally) If you need either I can get one flown over direct to you! Thanks for any help or advice Fox As Paul says the alluminium one is the way to go allthough the fluidyne and PWR ones are nice ive decided to get my own ones made up in this country , the cores are the best available and each rad is hand made , they can be made for electric fans or stock cowl and most important IF there is a warranty claim etc this can be turned around in a week as opposed to sending the rad back to the US or Australia etc , prices will be around the same as a fluidyne the rad caps will be the same as stock (so you can keep your TRD/Greedy etc) and if you insist on having an oil cooler built in for the auto this can be done (at extra cost) , mine is due this week and ill post some pics etc as soon as it arrives Dude
