Hope everything goes well for ya mate, you deserve it with the massive amount of effort you've put in!

To be honest I was totally shitting myself when I turned the key today. The sense of relief when it spun with no issues was enlifting.

Still a long way to go, but that's another milestone passed.

Tomorrows fire up day, hopefully! I'll bring something to hide behind incase it goes wrong hodge! :D

NO NO NO, Next Saturday is fire up day. This Saturday is bleeding clutch, and wiring day. I also want to flatten back the passenger side rear arch again as it has a small high spot I want rid of. Can't believe I missed it to be honest.

Had a great idea for a rear seat delete. Once alls done and ready to fire I'll start with the fiberglass.

Thanks for all the good luck wishes guys and girls, I really appreciate them. Thanks.

Spent s full day today with the clutch issue. Huge, huge thanks to Kenny and UPG (ben) for all there help today. Couldn't have done it without you both. Finally got it sorted. I've had to extend the pin in the slave cylinder around 20mm just to get it to engage. I'm starting to think it's the wrong slave cylinder for the clutch.

I also stuck a rear seat in for the time being until I can get an install made.

Whilst the car was outside, I took a few pics.

Stunning, just stunning work mate. I love the fact that you can tell by those pics that it is something very, very special but this thread records just what lengths you have gone to and the effort you've put in.

So what's the crack for next weekend - folk coming round for the fire-up or you doing it alone, post on here then we'll come up? :)

Hey Hodge, love the car. Just a thought about your turbo's exhaust housing. Dont VHT paint it, It never seems to stay on for long! I had the two V8 exhaust manifolds from my 'Eleanor' Mustang, 'Aluminium' sprayed. Reason im thinking this is because the finish is a smooth matt white. The colour is like the old ferrari P4 le mans car manifolds. It would suit the white theme you got goin on there, and its cheap (60 quid for two V8 headers). Compared to a ceramic coating, which costs a bomb! Anyway theres my 2 cents, good luck with the rest of the build!

It's staying as it is Turtleshead. I've made a funky heatshield to go on so there's no need to have it coated. I'd just be throwing money away really.
