hodge
Started on my engine loom today, When I did the build originally I gutted the loom and removed every (well I thought every) wire I didn't need. So then I'm told the syvecs doesn't need oil pressure trigger or knock sensors. My OCD got the better of me and I stripped the loom out and removed the wires back to the ECU. While it was apart I decided to attach all the sensor wires into the main loom instead of having them all coming from different places. Here's a couple of pics of how I got on. This is how it looked after I removed it from the car. This is what I'm left with. I've still got the Syvecs connector to add directly to the loom to make it a custom plug and play job but that's for another day.

hodge
Crikey! That most have taken a while! And a LOT of loom tape! Good job John It's takes about 5 rolls of loom tape, sometimes 6 and it's iirc about £25 for 5 rolls. I wouldn't use anything else though its great stuff. Nice and Tidy! Thanks Chris. I wouldn't even know where to start with that! It's pretty simple if you have the bottle. Just cut off all the plugs you don't need and work your way back to the ECU. Some of the wires are common ground and common 5v that's the only thing you need to be careful with. that is one clean loom now, like that. easy to get in and out without faffing about. Nice! Cheers Adam. Nice work John. You're a braver man than me! What's the worse that can happen. The Syvecs will just through up a fault if there's a problem and not start.
