So up untill 5,000RPM its less powerful than a BPU supra on stock twins and after that it gains more than 450horsepower in less than 1000RPM. Surely that will just make it undriveable on the street and light up the tyres in pretty much all gears?

correct me if i am wrong though, just stating what im seeing and im not really that experianced with stuff like this

A BPU supra is around 400hp, at the flywheel, that power is achieved at the highest point on the dyno curve, it's not 400hp all the time no matter where you are in the rev range if that makes sense. This graph is in wheel HP too, which is less than flywheel HP, by how much is another argument if you can be arsed or even care anymore :)

My previous setup jumped up 500hp in 1500 rpm and it never lit the tyres up once from 2nd to 5th. I've a feeling this will be nice and manageable off boost and a bit of a handful on boost, or that's what I'm aiming for anyways.

I'll think the clutch will probably need to be addressed for the 2.2bar run!!

I've no intention of approaching 2.2 bar, I want a user friendly clutch. As long as the car pulls as hard as my old setup (or maybe a little harder) then ill be a VERY happy man.

Im not by any means saying you're lying but my bpu supra (410fwhp) lights the tyres in second, granted yours are a hell of a lot wider you also have double the power.

Either that or mines getting driven differently

that jump would be insane!

Well I've got the car loaded up, and at 5am me and Bossco are off on an epic journey down to Chris Wilson's gaff to drop my engine off to be bored and balanced. 5hrs each way in my trusty little Pug 106 1.5D with a supra engine stuffed in the boot.

Lets hope she coped lol.

That's a hell of a lot of power to have in a 106! :D

It's not all about power, tyres play a massive part in traction so does a good suspension setup and geo setup.

I've driven BPU supra that can't get traction at 1 bar, but driven others that just grip and go at 1.3 bar. There's so many factors to consider.

Back on the monster wagon :D

Sometimes needs must ;)

Good luck John. How long will the engine be at Chris'?

I had quite a few looks from people on the motorway with a 2JZ in the back of my mate's Cherokee :D

Can't wait to see the results :)

Took 4.5hrs to get there and just over 3hrs to get back I recon. Just having some food, so will be home in an hour.

First time I've met Chris, he's a great guy, eccentric as hell, but a great guy none the less.

I've told him there's no rush with the engine, just whenever he gets time really.

Did you think as you were going down the roads near him that you need the Supra as I loved driving to his and back some great roads!

I was thinking as I got there, "wow, is that all the diesel I've used, that's 186 miles for 15 quid".
