Your car is gonna be mental on boost! lol :)

One of the screamers is diverted back into the D-Pipe already, and the other one is VTA. You can easily vent them both in though if you wish... I preferred it like this though

I really can't wait to get this Amir. Any luck with the top water elbow.

none what so ever bud. All the bearings look brand new. Shame to take them out really. I've gave the pistons, rods and rod bearings to fosta, for his n/a-t engine and i'll sell the arp rod bolts on.

Crank is coming out tonight i hope, if i get time. Then i'll plan a day to go to chris's.

Sorry to pee on your chips here buddy but here goes...

I have to agree with Jamie on this this setup will not be a fun street car espically in the UK, supraforum guys will love this setup sure roads are totally different over here, after driving supras both here and back in the UK the roads here really are better suited to this style of setup but to be honest still way overkill for a street car.

One thing i do agree on is lag! i used to love it on my car to me that does make a better street car as it does give you the ease of just cruising and great fuel consumption belive it or not but on my 900+ hp supra off boost i was seeing at least 27 mpg!! i just feel this will be way to much lag!

Either way as always a stunning car bud and wish you luck with the new setup and excited to see the progress.

I hear you Wayne, BUT, if I don't give it a go and experience it for myself, I'll never know. If I listened to everyone that thought I was doing the wrong thing with the car it would still be stock N/A. I've done loads of stuff with the car (some documented, some not) that I thought, that's not for me and then gone in a different direction.

If I don't like it I'll take it off, but I need to experience it first hand.

When I set out to build the car 3 years ago, I always said I wanted to build MY dream supra. This was the setup I wanted for the car, but it was way out of my price range at the time, and was a compromise I made to get the car on the road. Don't get me wrong, my GT42 setup was awesome and loved it every time I drove it, but to me it wasn't perfect.

When Amir put this kit up for sale, I just had to have it.

Lets see what happens ehh!!!

I don't eat chips, Geo says I'm not allowed whilst getting ripped :p

Off to the body shop today.

I've removed all the excess parts like brake lines, anti-roll bar and brackets etc, ready for it to be painted again. The anti roll bar and brackets are off to the powder coaters today too for a refresh.

the front brake calipers have been removed, so they and the K-Sport rears I bought from Steve.M can all be painted the same colour.

These are the calipers

Fronts are 8 pot D2s and rears are 4 pot K-sports. Personally, I think the quality of the D2s is way better than the K-sport, by a long way. Even down to the bolts that hold the calipers to the bracket. The D2s are thick robust high tensile steel bolts, the K-Sport bolts are a lot thinner and lighter. I've no doubt they will do the job perfectly, but I much prefer the D2s.

That is a beast setup John.

Big power will probably be achieved even on moderate boost.

I'm eager to see what the response will be on that setup.

I've a feeling 1 bar should make somewhere near what I'm running at present.

Your going about this all in the right way imo, best try it and see then if you like it! i think its going to be a animal, especially on the motorway. Im suprised you dont like ksports, i aint had no issues with mine and i think the build quality is fantastic. I have the new design rears to yours and ksport monster kit upfront, so maybe they altered a few things.

Nice update anyway John

It's not that I don't like them, I just think the D2s seem better quality. The bolt quality did shock me a little. When I get home I'll take a pic of the 2 bolts, there's a huge difference. I may just be being anal here though.

80mm !!!! buy the time it spools of the lights the corsa is well gone to the next lights ...lol ... your rev range is not going to be very large, is your limit around 7200rpm ? what happened to CIVILISED !!! ..LOL

My revs are currently set to 7300, but I'd have thought Ryan will alter it to around 8500 once the built engine goes in.

As long as its civilized OFF boost I'm happy.

Ok, let's move the goal posts a little now. Lets aim for a HULK/Bruce banner serario.

Cool calm collected and graceful, but p1ss it off and all hell brakes loose :D

Don't get me wrong here this is all a big experiment for me. It may work or may end up 1 big disaster, who knows, but I've got to atleast try.

it will be fine I am going the same way at the moment but not with a 80 mm but a 88 mm. I like to see anything getting away from me at the lights

I've a feeling I'm gong to need to have a bigger prop made, as I may be using the Syvecs launch control a few times.

that will be a must , have .

and drag wheels and tyres ,

I've got a local driveshaft company who would make me a 1 piece prop that uses the stock doughnut so I don't get and transmission rattle. I've no fancy to be running drag wheels on the street though, there ugly as hell.

8.5k!!! that's gonna be awesome!

I'll leave the rev limit to Ryan but that's just an estimate really.

8.5k , I hope your head is built correctly .. I know one that will do that job :-) ... When are you coming for the block ?, car is getting moved 1st week in December .

Yep, I've already got a built head on the car at present. A set of shimmless buckets wouldn't go a miss but there's plenty of time for that.

I'll speak to Rob about the engine mate, and see when he's free to get a van.

I've done a little reading on supraforums and chatted with a few guys with an 80mm setup. I came across this dyno sheet, it uses a stock long block with stock cams, VWR GT47-80 turbo setup and a VWR intake manifold. The power curve looks pretty good IMO.

There's a few in the US running BIG power on a stock unopened engine. As long as you don't go crazy with the rev limit then there pretty robust.

Really? I thought it was a requirement after a certain power level, yours shouldnt have a problem with it being a built unit when its done, which means higher revs for you then obviously :D

I'll just put the think together, and then leave it to Ryan for the jiggery pockery lol. Suppose I just like taking it to bits and putting it back together again.
