supra steveo
just an idea John but i rekon you may of already thought of it, put a hole in the bottom of the box where the bottom of the seat belts bolt into, makes it harder for chavs to rob your install
hodge
just an idea John but i rekon you may of already thought of it, put a hole in the bottom of the box where the bottom of the seat belts bolt into, makes it harder for chavs to rob your install If I'm not with the car it's locked up in the garage so I'm not too worried about it bolting down. I want it easily removable for when I drag the car.
hodge
Here's a few install progress piccys. This is how the fibreglass base looked when I removed it from the car after it was hard. I trimmed the excess fibers off around the edges and pulled off the tape and cling film from the back. I then made a cardboard template for the front panel on the box. After I got a nice snug fit I cut it out in 18mm MDF and screwed it to the fibreglass and test fitted it into the car. I've marked the base where it will be cut off and the top fitted. Next step is to shape the base, and thicken up the thinner areas then make a frame to support the speakers and my nitrous bottle.

hodge
I would imagine it is possible and quite a simple conversion to do. I did look into it when I was wanting more stuff out of the engine bay. I dismissed the idea eventually as I thought the pedal box would ruin the drive of the car. Cool idea though.
