hodge
ID1000 injectors turned up today. Unfortunately they didn't fit the intake runners on my Veilside plenum. The rail side was fine using the adaptors but the runner side was no where near. The O-ring was too narrowband wasn't sealing on the runner. So a little adaptation was required. I didn't really fancy drilling out the runners so I thought I'd try and use the O-rings from my old injectors as they were wider and thicker. This seemed to seal them nicely against the bottom of the injector bore in the runner. The only sure way to tell though will be when it's running I suppose. Here's some pics of how I did it all. Firstly the plenum runners still with injectors fitted. Rail fitted with new adaptor buckets. On the right is the O-ring from the Injector Dynamics injector and the left is from my old RC injectors. And here they are on the injectors. And here's all 6 with the bigger O-rings on. Injectors and rail fitted to the runners. The injectors turned out to be slightly longer than the RCs so I needed a washer to lift it a little to stop the upper O-ring loosing it's seal. hodge
Very tidy those mate. Will be super keen to see how they pan out for you You and me both "G". There very very thin which I was very suprised about. The ones I've had previously have a larger part in the middle but these are tiny little things. They look like something from the pound shop lol. Hopefully my new Blue Titanium bolts will arrive today so I can get it all bolted back together tonight. Think it's going to be a VERY late night again tonight. Guest NDIDDYSCHICK
Absolutely loving your build thread mate. Been keeping an eye on this one for some time now and decided I had to comment. Loving how you are doing most of the work yourself, and to such a high standard as well. Great taste. Question thou; i've noticed (well i think im looking at this correctly ) you have kept the pressure surge tank. Any reason why you haven't removed it? (The tank on the right hand side of this pic?) That's the starter motor dude.

hodge
After lee pointing out the heat generated from the engine mount brackets I've heat wrapped the FPR. He explained there has been a few issues with supras in the states with fuel pressure fluctuation caused by heating of fuel in the engine bay so I thought I would be better safe than sorry really. I've done all the top where the pressure adjustment is and put a few layers on the back where it bolts to the mount bracket. This is how it looks mounted. This is how it sits with the plenum in place. I'm over the moon with it as it's tucked away but still easy to access to alter the pressure. Idle control valve has been stripped down, cleaned, powder coated and put back together. This is how it looks fitted to the underside of the plenum. This pic shows where the engine loom enters the cabin in it's new position. More updates later on today. Rob_Mitchell
that idle control valve looks neat. does it cost alot to powder coat mate?
hodge
that idle control valve looks neat. does it cost alot to powder coat mate? I've got a top notch powder coater about 10 miles up the road from me. I don't think it's that expensive for what you get really. I got a top water elbow and the idle control valve done and he charges 30 quid which was masking them off, sand blasting then and then coating them. Quick turnaround too. I've known the guy for a while and he tends to squeeze my work through quickly.
