Stevo
Great work as usual Hodge! Hasn't taken you long to get back into it either - jet lag all gone now?

Not sleeping on a night at all at the minute Steve. Which works ok I suppose cos I start back on Nights tonight lol. At 4am I found myself going through Syvecs pin assignment to work out where I'm going to wire in my additional sensors. I've emailed Rysn with where I think they should go, so as soon as I get the ok from him then I can get it all put together.

I love to see folks bounce around their cars with many different things going on. I work like that... Just as I'm into one thing I think up another. I have been in the 2JZ world for a while but with a LEXUS SC300 NA-T. Lots of fun but not a Supra. So I sold my beautiful 07 Tundra and took the Supra plunge. So far I have been extremely happy. One question, ( Did you put the valve cover lines into a hidden compartment behind the finder?) I don't remember reading this part.

One question, ( Did you put the valve cover lines into a hidden compartment behind the finder?) I don't remember reading this part. I did originally but then removed them and just ran them over the back of the gearbox. I liked the luck of them for a while but decided the were a little cluttering running across the engine. hodge
Had an email from Ryan confirming all the Syvecs pin assignments I'd allocated for my sensors were correct so I'll get stuck into that ASAP. I need to get the loom back in the car and measure up where it enters the bulkhead in relation to the ECU plug. When everything is fitted in the passenger footwell it's really cluttered because the loom is loom long to be in this location so the excess wire is just sitting in there. So once I've got it all measured up I'm going to shorten the loom so everything is nice and need and will look like stock once it's all in place. Luxluc
You're working fast John. Where will you locate the switches for boost and TRC?

There in the glovebox next to the fusebox Luc Jesus, thats madness! Loving the loom, hodge. Great work. Not madness, just a little trial and error lmao. Not much left on that loom! lmao, great stuff. That's the plan Rob I'd run the car Bluetooth if I could. The loom is just simply ugly.
hodge
Getting there now with the loom. I've moved the ignitor and MAP sensor inside the Cabin, so there's 2 less components in the bay. I want to make a nice neat panel behind the dash for them both to sit out the way of any heat. Injector plugs need changing, because I'm upgrading to ID2200 injectors these have different plugs from ID1000. Next job is to remove the stock ECU plugs and fit the Syvecs plug direct to the loom. If I'm honest, I'm pretty much crapping myself about doing this but needs must. Finally after I've got the loom plug fitted I want to shorten the whole loom by about 12 inches to give it a more need and stock like look when the ECU is in place. I'm going to test fit the loom Friday, then start swapping over plugs. Wish me luck Edited January 22, 2013 by hodge (see edit history)

Totally agree. Although the adaptor loom is very good and serves its purpose its pretty ugly looking.

hodge
These showed up today There -24AN weld on aluminium fittings. I'm going to do the same top water pipe as Steve.M's car with the braided line and aeroquip fittings. Think it will finish my engine bay off nicely with the blue and red fitting and braided hose. I'm waiting on a top water neck from carbon-bullet to chop up to make a custom one. As soon as that arrives I'll get it all mocked up and take it into work to be welded. hodge
Awesome, I'm looking at fitting these to mine, the earls/goodridge braided stuff is great quality Yeah it is, but it comes at a price. If I'm honest though, the Torques.uk stuff I've bought, I've found that to be very good too, although its a lot cheaper it does what it says on the tin and I've never had 1 fail on me yet, and I've fitted quite a few to various cars. Unfortunately they don't do anything anywhere near -24 so I had to go with the Earls stuff. Your attention to detail is amazing John. Great progress Thanks Luc. I'm going to attempt to swap the Syvecs loom plug for the stock plug today, although I'm putting it off cos it scares me.
