hodge
Exhaust manifold finally fitted. Had issues fitting this due to the flutes hitting the studding. The way I got round it was to shorten the lower studs, remove all the top studding from the head, slot the lower manifold bolt holes, put the nuts on a little way and then slide the manifold down onto the studding. Then I put the top studding in and tightened all the bolts up. Water pump and timing belt fitted. Defi sensors and Syvecs oil pressure sensor in the sandwich plate. Oil filter on. Syvecs knock sensor fitted just below the head on piston 4. Turbo bolted up. Oil drain made up and Thermo-sleeved. I also covered the ends of the Thermo-sleeve in heat repelling tape incase the sleeping moved and melted the pipe. Veilside manifold bolted up. hodge
Tried my old T4 turbo blanket for size. It fit around it but was nowhere near long enough. Just a few random shots. Wastegates. I decided to go for -3an wastegate lines so I've fitted these. First gate and dump tube fitted. 2nd gate fitted. Downpipe

hodge
Great work as as usual John, that turbo's a monster This is just crazy! Im in ore of that engine mate its just complete perfection. Thanks guys. Wastegate lines to be made up tomorrow. I've hit a small issue with the top water elbow. Basically I've bought a virtual works top water elbow for a T6 setup but to get it to fit the cam wheel backing plate needs a section cut out of it, which I'm not really prepared to do. I'll need to look into other options or try and make 1 myself.
