Hope it all goes well dude. You deserve it with what you have put into it.

Thanks Ricky. I've had the car running with the new injectors in and it sounds loads better than before. I've played with the old map and got it ticking over nice but that's about my limits really. I'm sure it won't take Ryan long to get it spot on.

Lovely Hodge  All that work getting it built to strip it all again, your pics make it look like a 5 min job :)

It took 2 full days. Saturday from 4pm-4am and Sunday 11am-9pm.

Between doing this and johnnys car over Friday to Monday I think I've burnt myself out lol. Best recharge the sleeping batteries I think.

Good progress John...Its going to look awesome when done. When can you fit mine in for an engine tidy up ;-) That is one clean bodyshop, fingers crossed they do a good job for you.

I had my blue Supra painted there so I have total faith.

I can do that for you no problem Kev but need to clear some backlog 1st. Have you decided to keep her then??

Nice work john getting it stripped for the bodyshop. they taking the screens out?

Yeah there coming out. I cracked the front 1 whilst taking the seats out so I'll be getting the insurance company replace that 1.

WOW. Just wow.

Cheers dude.

I've been over to the bodyshop this morning and they've started peeping the engine bay. The paint in there was a lot worse than expected so it's all got to be rubbed, down all the flaking paint removed and 2 pack primed before paint.

They've started welding up and filling unwanted holes too.

There's 2 of them on the car, 1 on the bodywork and the other on the bay.

I've decided to remove the breather pipes from the inner wing. I know it was totally different but if the pipes are removed it's going to free up that top right corner totally and leave it bare. So the plate with the fitting had been removed and I'm getting him to weld the hole back up.

Um going to run the pipes over the back of the engine and over the gearbox now.

By all accounts he said my bodywork on the arches and skirts was pretty good so doesn't need that much sorting but my priming was terrible lol. But I had a go and can only get better I suppose.

Here's a few pics of what's gone on, although there's not much to see really.

And finally a couple of pics of other projects he's got in. A classic Ferarri he's restoring and I think the other is a really old bentley. The door sills are made from wood. Don't know how that works bur apparently that's how cars used to be made.

Not much filler work in the rear quatre which is a good sign of your attempt at doing it yourself, they will prob use a decent high build primer anyway. looking good though john, really looking forward to the engine bay finished pics.

Cheers Rob. It did take me 3 weeks to do 1 side though lol.

Yeah the whole car is getting done in 2 pack primer I think he said.

I'll probs call over mid next week for another update.
