Homer
Pics of the loom as discussed John. Hope I'm not going to regret letting this go! 1) Main loom has some splices on it, most have plugs, but it'll be a simple job to patch this back to stock: 2) Main loom wiring in the engine bay has some wiress chopped where the resistor pack used to be, will need a bit of patching here, but it's just a case of rejoining the wires. There's a few aftermarket wires in here too, but you can just pull them out. Also (the bit I'm holding) is where one of the injector plugs has been cut off, you'll need a new plug there. 3) Wiring on the ignitor pack connector. not sure what's going on here but again just needs the wires re-joining back to stock. EDIT - checked again, I think they are only spliced, so just need cleaning up. 4) One of the coil pack clips is missing. The other ones all look good
hodge
Darrly like I said mate I really cangt thank you enough. All those issues arnt a problem at all. I Ill replace all the coilpack connectors anyway. im gona have to fit a resistor pack so no probs there Injector connectors will be replaced with fishtails the ignitor pack looks like its had a DLI or something similar fitted. A bit of magic with the solder and were good as new. MASSIVE MASSIVE thanks for this.

hodge
After spending all day working on Project 1000, my own car needed a bit of TLC seems it was feling left out. The plan was I has a box of polished and chromed parts arriving from Ray today but they never turned up:thumbdown: So I thought id have a look at the gearbox setup. Whilst I was at Jurgens working on Project 1000 I found the bracket I needed for my clutch. I decided to bold it all together and see how it all happens. Solid gearshift bushes fitted. Short shift fitted. The gear throw on this this is great. it seems to just be a wrist movement to change gear. Ive also fitted the oil take off for the oil cooler with -10AN firringss. ive used a thermostatic controller Mocal unit as im not using a stock oil cooler. This is so the oil heats up to 70 degrees before the oil cooler is engaged. The PAS pump ive painted in high temp paint and lightened pulley fitted. TTC billet aux pulley, TTC billet shock arm. Titan Pulley. Intercooler spray and purge lines and solnoids.
hodge
Think I may be using the clutch and arm as it is for now to see how it goes. if I dont like it then ill convert it to a hydraulic unit.

hodge
I recon its time for an update:d Ive got the plenum, Throttle body and fuel rail fitted today. Injectors should be here tomorrow or saturday, Had a bit of a nightmare with the alternator as I couldnt get the bolt off the pulley because the 10mm centre hex was rounded. so with my engineers head on and seems in a bit of a wiz with the old cutting tools I chopped through the nut with small carbide milling cutter fixed to my drill. Im going to take the alternator back off and give it a nice polish before i refit it. I will have to find a nut for the end now though as this 1 is in 2 halfs lol. Ill get 1 from work tonight. By the looks of it its only an M14 x 2.0 heres some piccy. WARNING! WARNING! - YOU MAY FEEL THE URGE TO MASTERBATE OVER THSES. BEFORE LOOKING PLEASE HAVE YOUR KLEENEX AT THE READY. And finally this arrived today. Now I like the idea Ryan had to trace all the wires that arnt needed back to the ECU and removing them so im going to look into doing something along those lines. Now im not that much of a dab hand with electrics but if you dont try then you'll never know. I would just like to say a massive thanks to Homer (Darryl) for sorting me out with this wiring harness seems i couldnt find 1 anywhere. Top bloke and many many thanks Edited May 6, 2010 by hodge (see edit history)
