Hi Jon, I recommend you use a C/V jointed propshaft rather than the older style Cardin jointed ones. GKN Motorsport, here in the UK, do a lightweight one with flanges for boots, which I can also supply. The gearbox I sent has a prop flange for this type of joint, and as you will probably end up making the whole thing anew I would convert the diff flange to take a C/V as well as the centre joint. I Have two diff flanges for the C/V type joints machined up and black phosphate coated in stock. If the people you decide to use to make a prop haven't got access to the info on these flanges I have a .pdf file giving all the details. It's in Swedish, but they'll get the gist of it unless they are thick :)

Whilst a carbon wound prop would be nice, and should be very light, a one off will you a bomb, especially for a two piece unit, although the lack of inertia may allow a one piece design. I'd get a ball park price before you get too excited!

I have the gearbox assembly, overhaul and ratio change manual, full of photos here, but it's a big download in electronic form, shall I post you the CD?

Let me know how the gearbox install goes, AFAIK you now have the only other one behind an RB26 in the world :)
