idling like it has 290 cams and backfire like crazy 2000-3500rpm

ok so this problem started yesterday when i started my car to warm up, once it warmed up about have way it started to idle real rough like it had some big cams and when i get on it from 1500-3500rpm at wide open throttle the damn thing doesnt want to accelerate it just has a god awful backfire/missfire or something but before the problem i had up the boost like 3 weeks earlier and i do have a greddy bcc and the boost is at 15psi. I went and put new spark plugs in today and i went with some colder spark plugs #7 ngk bkr7e. i gapped them to .028 and it runs good now after 3500 but still doesnt run right and idles rough. Help me please this is killing me and i have a drift event to attend this sunday. it is not a supra but its a 92 sc300 with a non vvti 2jzgte with 6spd getrag any help is great.:(

No I don't have one but I need one bad. I just pulled my plugs and the car is running lean. So I know now that it is a fuel problem. I'll check my ground for my greddy bcc.

It kind of sounds like your timing is seriously retarded, although I'm not sure how you'd manage that on one of these engines. Might be worth checking.

 

Also make sure the cambelt hasn't somewho skipped a tooth, or if you've got adjustamble cam gears they haven't slipped.

Now it is running normal but the idle is start being gay but my dad was tellin me if u goto th gas station after the trucks just refilled the tanks or just got done that any thing that is at the bottom of the tanks at the gas station will come up threw the pump and get in the gas tank and everyday it seems to get better. The engine is totally stock timing is fine too but I'm putting a new fuel pump and fuel filter in this weekend cuz I don't know the condition of this tt supra pump and it also could be cutting out

ok so this sunday i went to a drift event and the car ran like shit. it blew 6 fuel pump fuses so i assumed the pump was shorting out, also the car had a super bad missfire and when u give it more than a 1/4 throttle it will not accelerate at all? anyone experience my insane issues? if u have please inlighten me i am tired off fuckin with this damn car.

So whe you give it a bootful does it feel like it is holding back severly? If you are gentle on the throttle can you take it up to max rpm? When you do accellerate hard when driving does it seem to want to go then hold back and backfire?

If it is as i have said above it sounds like you need a new fuel pump. Take the fuel hose to the rail off and see what the fuel is coming out like, if its a trickle then your fuel pump is gone, but it does sound like mine was when the pump was leaking in the tank and not providing the pressure to the injectors. TBH i chased the fault for a while to it was only Chris Wilson who found it was the pump (after about 15 min) and then it was quite obvious

Yea I just put the new walbro 255 and was still screwing up and never thought to check the ignition wire that goes to the ecu. I totaly forgot that when the guy who had thi motor before me had put a bee r rev limiter in and the ignition wire conection was shit moved the wire around and car runs perfect moved it around again and starts running like shit so today I'm redoing the conection. So with it running like a pile of cr@p you went to a drift event during which it blew six fuel pump fuses :search:
