dayosupra
Hi i need a 12volt to 24volt convertor by the weekend My new supercharger pullley now runs 24volts the unit that came with the kit in F*!ked! Can get them on ebay but will take too long to get here. This is for my Ae86 track car by the way not the supra This is what i need follow the link http://www.powerstream.com/dc1.htm Thanks
JustGav
Won't it require a fairly hefty current draw? In which case a DC-DC converter wouldn't be cheap. The link you supplied goes the other way, you are looking a some serious pennies, almost to the point where it would be cheaper to get a 24v alternator and then step it down for the rest of the car. Sorry wrong link The charger only uses about 100watts max i have till only this weekend to get all this sorted so changing the alternator would take to long:(thanks for your input mate:)
JustGav
Hmmm, what exactly is the unit? If it is purely for a track car, you could consider running two batteries in the back of the car purely to power the unit up and charge them up inbetween runs. Not an ideal scenario but I'm thinking on my feet here.
