hadyn
What temperature does the TT coolant run as stock when at operating temp (ie when the needle is in the middle of the stock water temp gauge) ?
Tricky-Ricky
The std gauge is not very sensitive and seems to stay in the middle position anywhere between 90c and 110c, my average seem to be around 98c to 105c, and a little higher when i was TT. hadyn
Im more interested in the temp that is coming out of the head into the heater matrix - anyone know?
Tricky-Ricky
It will be pretty much the same as whats coming from the top rad hose which is where both std sensors are and my thermocouple, for good reason;)
Bossco
I'd agree with those temps. I did hit 115 degrees a few months back with the standard gague staying exactly where it usually does. After binning the stock rad and fitting a big alli one, replacing the thermostat, fitting new fan (Cheers Hodge:d) I've not been able to get the temp above 102 degrees. Fingers corssed it stays that way cos I've not been able to use the car this summer.
