wilson4347
I think that my nearside rear shock has gone, do i have to change both sides at the same time? If so would i be able to upgrade my rear shocks and springs for the time being and then change the front set when i can aford to? thanks
jaymdee
not sure about the springs mate, but would have thought you need to do the whole set or the car will sit badly on the road - also may need geo done too. When a rear shock went on mine I replaced both under advice. kept the OK one (only 20k on it) as a spare if needed in the future.

Dnk
I'd change the shocks as a pair and change the springs as a set. What are you thinking of changing to and whats on the car now ?
wilson4347
there standard on the car at the moment, was thinking of going for the koni adjustables, what do people recommend? i was thinking of doing the dampers and then the springs when i can afford to thanks

Ian C
would i be able to upgrade my rear shocks and springs for the time being and then change the front set when i can aford to? thanks That is quite probably a very bad idea from a handling/safety point of view Change all or none. (If you are replacing like for like, though, just change the pair, fronts or rears) -Ian

Then save your £'s and do a complete change when you have the funds to buy, fit and geo etc
nero
I'd change both rear shock's so they are matched, and keep the stock or the same springs on at the same time. Later save up for some new suspension or coilovers because if the rear just blew the fronts may not be far behind
