Hi,

Very interested in this, as I'm currently doing the same thing. You using a dash dodging cage? Is that allowed in your drift regs as they aren't allowed over here (and to be honest I do understand why as it compromises the overall cage strength)

Out of interest what have you done regarding the steering rack and extra lock?

:)

Hi JustGav,

To be honest, I don't mind having the A bar cut into the dash or not, as my dash is custom made carbon fibre item. Just that we actually bought the cage from Cusco happens to be dodging dash cage.

Strength-wise, yes the through dash cage is ideal, and gives a stronger front impact protection, but it's only ideal for competition racing like touring car, as he collision is most likely to be head on crashes.

As for drifting Formula D series because the officials understands that 80% of the collision is on the side of the car in drifting, the side bar protecting the door is most essential, as you can see I have a double beam protecting the door, and the drifter only needs appropritate protection from direct frontal collision.

For the suspension arms and steering lock, I have a fully custom made set which was developed and tested by Orido and Tanguchi (the D1GP pro drifters) when they came to test this Supra. If you're interested, I can give you a bit more details.

Good stuff Tommy

Although I have been around the ZIC in my old supra, it was however in no way with such style or speed :eyebrows:

Must be tough letting someone else loose in your car (I guess it was your car?) but saying that the guy seems to have some skills ;)

I'm impressed about the Aristo, as that must be a heavy handful - would love to see the actual end of that 2nd video :p the camera man seems to have messed his trousers....

Keep the video coming

thanks... but the cars really had quite a lot of work done to it, so there is a cost to the speed and style. It's actually to the extent that we manufactured our own parts to spec.

The Aristo also had tonnes of works to it too, i was on the camera for that video shot, the angle was soo absurd that i really thought he lost it, but somehow he saved it... crazy...
