Dash Rendar
... now that I've started cycling to work instead of driving every day. It's a whole THREE miles to work.
Gaz6002
Were you driving the Supra? If you were, cutting out the short journeys will save you loads of cash in the long run

It's not just the inefficient fuel usage of the short stop/starts, but all the maintenance incurred. 3 miles, you lazy b**stard! Correction... *Former* lazy b**stard. stevie_b
I stand corrected. I cycle to the train station every day: much nicer than catching the bus.
RedM
Were you driving the Supra? If you were, cutting out the short journeys will save you loads of cash in the long run It wasn't a long run though. It was 3 miles.

AndrewOW
And I'm just so lazy, as it's only 1.3 miles to my work, but I use the car for every journey! My bike is currently in the garage at work, where I promised that once I'd moved back to the flat I would cycle home at lunchtimes to save money and fuel. It hasn't happened, and now it's nearly Christmas, so I don't think I'll bother until next Spring!
Dash Rendar
it will be if his bike gets a puncture! Well, I do run a few miles two or three times a week, so I could probably survive it... maybe.
