I watched this last night.

It wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst thing ever. The story line was pretty poor and the acting the same - I was expecting something more like the new Rambo, which I really enjoyed, but I think the film got lost with simply trying to find enough pointless bit parts for everyone. The Schwarzenegger / Willis cameo was the worst case of this. I have no idea what they were thinking with Schwarzenegger's role., There was one gag in that scene however, (I won't spoil it) that had me rolling around in laughter - you'll know what I mean if you've seen it.

One other thing, it was Sly's movie and you can tell this without having to watch the credits roll – there were areas where I thought, umm, why didn’t that bit get played out by one of the other action heroes? I think he ‘slightly’ hogged the lime light a bit - but it's forgiveable.

Out of the three main characters - Statham, Jet and Sly, Statham gave the best performance. Sly just seemed 'past it' and all I can say about Jet's role was that he was severely handicapped in this movie. He hardly played much of part in the story and there was little in the way of mind blowing kung-fu. Infact Statham did more that Jet in that way.

My opinion:

Wait until the DVD comes out and rent.

I am hoping to watch this in a few nights time. Hands down I know it's going to be hamy, but when are you going to see some of greatest collection of hollywood heavy weights all in one screen. Although personally, I would have replaced a few of the lesser knowns. As much as Jet Li is a legend, he's not really been in any AMAZING films - would have swapped him and that black guy (see? I don't even know him name!) With Vinnie Jones and Samuel L Jackson. What about Cruise? Fishburn? Eastwood? Van-f*cking-Damme! Even Will bloody Smith! Sygourney Weaver would have been awesome!

i thought it was crap and i wished i had waited for it to come out on DVD, i only seen about 4 magazine changes and that was sly's fast loading where he stood still for about 20 seconds (and wasnt hit while the whole world around him was hunting for 4 guys) and went through 4 mags and did some sort of quick mag change, everyone else had hollywood 1000 round mags on i think , sly was defo past it as he was trying to sprint along a jetty and looked like a stumbling old man , statham how ever, he had the best part and i liked the basket ball fight scene also the jet and dolph fight scene wasnt to bad but could of been better

overall this film could of been way way better

I would have certainly got rid of Steve Austin. Van-damme is the only one that is without a doubt missing, but he said he didn't want to do it - something about not wanting to be part of action films anymore.
