Wez
Hey All, For those with Bride subframes installed, do you find they put you really high compared to stock, I have Sparco Corsa side mounted seats attached to mine and even on the lowest setup I am still too high. Any ideas? What other FIA seat options are there to get me lower.
Trig
i have konig seats and i think they have standard subframes and they sit quite high too, i was thinking of getting some bucket seats too so would like to know what options there are too

Wez
quite useful info! i was expecting them to be lower! this is great news for my short arse I am not exactly tall but with the cage, helmet and a neck pad my head is pushed to one side, not ideal thats for sure
pedrosixfour
I know how you feel Wez. I ended up removing the rear cross-member that the original seat bolts onto altogether and fabricated new cross-members from 1" box section just so my head would clear my cage. This is one option but hopefully a last resort, surely there are setups out there that are low enough.
pete_TT
http://www.memoryfab.com/products/detail_accessories_3/ These are the subframes i use, they mount the seat very low as it sits between the rails rather then ontop. Seat is practically on the floor.

Wez
Ill get some pics in the next couple of days. That would be great, thanks I would be interested in seeing how close the seat base is to the floor.
SupraAyf
Wez, I have Bride seats and frames (I'm suspecting) and they are much lower than the standard Facelift electric seat height. Not sure if it helps you out
paul mac
i have Cobra Imolas with the Cobra subframes which were a PITA to fit but i couldn't ask for a better seat height, i am 5ft 10", i could take a measurement from the base of the seat shell (cushions removed) to the roof lining tommorow if its of any use
bignum
My bride side mounts have 3 height settings, ive got them on the lowest 1 and theyre about right for me, you would probably want to go up a notch tbh;)
JamieP
Ive got bride runners on my bucket seats, being 6ft5" id like them a bit lower tbh, might just bolt the side mounts to the floor doing away with the runners as i never move the seat anyhow. Wez
Anyone tried these :- http://www.more-japan.com/Nagisa-Auto-JZA80-Supra-Super-Low-Seat-Rail-SLR-p-16317.html Also wondering if anyone here has used the Bride FX seat mounts which are FIA approved and put you lower as they dont have runners. adrianstokes
The problem with most of the "frames" that are available for the Supra is that the seat sits on top of the runners as previously mentioned. In addition, a lot of the designs have bars joining the left and right rails of the frame at the runner height which prevent the seat being lowered anymore, as the base would foul these bars. I ended up making my own custom rails as the Cobra ones were absolutely atrocious, even after they'd sent me 3 different sets (each time the design was different but on no occasion did all the holes line up and on one set the welding was quite frankly shocking, even if it had of fit in the car I'd have refused to use them). As it happens that did me a favour as I could replicate the design of the original seat rails where the base of the seat can "drop" between the runners, though this would not be acceptable for all seat designs as the seats themselves then need enough lateral strength in the even of an impact. Wez: That Nagisa Auto advert must be using reference images as those rails can't fit a Supra, I'd ask for some more photos before purchasing, the inside rear pickup point is wrong. Wez
Bride UK are no longer dealing in Bride as they are having issues with support and the US bride dealer seems to be taking there time getting me a price for the FX rails BuddyClubUK also do a low profile seat rail but there is an 8 to 10 week wait
