According to the Supra manual, you don't need to let it idle if you have been doing normal city driving.

If you have been driving 40mph "countryside" driving, let it idle for a minute.

If you have been driving motorway speeds, let it idle for 2 minutes.

If it was a "needed" piece of kit, Toyota would have put them on as standard.

 

Or they would have put the first quote in the owners' manual :innocent:
